IEEE Power Electronics Magazine’s EIC Ashok Bindra is pleased to announce that the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) has received a 2024 APEX Award for Publication Excellence. Celebrating its 36th year, APEX judges received over 1,100 entries. 100 Grand Awards were presented to honor outstanding work in 13 major categories, with 439 Awards of Excellence recognizing exceptional entries in 100 subcategories. Under the category of New Technology, APEX recognized the March 2023 cover story “Monolithic Bidirectional Power Transistors,” written by authors Jonas Huber and Johann W. Kolar, both of Power Electronic Systems Laboratory, ETH Zurich, Switzerland. PELS congratulates our editorial team on this prestigious award, as well as the 10th anniversary of Power Electronics Magazine.
