Activities
TC 1 organizes the following events:
- IEEE Workshop on Control and Modeling for Power Electronics (COMPEL): This workshop brings together engineers, researchers, and students from academia and industry for an interactive discussion on the latest advances in all aspects of power electronics. There is an emphasis on analysis, control, modeling, and simulation of power electronics circuits, devices, and systems.
- IEEE International Conference on DC Microgrid (ICDCM): This conference brings together engineers, researchers, and students from all areas for interactive discussions about the latest advances in DC grid technologies and applications.
Awards: TC 1 administers the IEEE PELS Modeling and Control Technical Achievement Award to honor outstanding and sustained contributions from innovators and researchers who advance the modeling and control of power electronics.
Publications: TC 1 occasionally proposes special issues to the IEEE Journal for Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics (JESTPE). The exact topic is dependent on the theme of COMPEL. TC 1 also proposes guest editors and supports the review of submissions.
